Quarter 1: Day at AmeriTowne (Lakewood / BELMAR, Lone Tree & Virtual)

Description: Young AmeriTowne is an award-winning educational program to help students learn about business, economics, and free enterprise in a fun and hands-on way. The program has received countless accolades for its engaging format and its applicability across all types of student and school demographics. It’s one-of-a-kind educational opportunity! Check out the AmeriTowne overview video.

Students will learn about supply and demand, banking, advertising, careers, business and philanthropy. Their studies at home culminate in a four-hour day in Young AmeriTowne where they physically apply concepts they’ve learned as they step into roles as Towne citizens. For more information about a Day In AmeriTowne.

Young Americans Center for Financial Education is a pioneer in the youth financial education space, offering “hands-on” approaches to teaching personal finance, economics, and business. Embraced by parents and teachers 20 years before “financial literacy” was defined on a national level, they remain at the forefront of this growing field.

Want to learn more about AmeriTowne? Check out our 2025 Parent Orientation Replay (we highly recommend listening to the replay if you have never done AmeriTowne with True North before. You can also take a look at the 2024 Student Workbook - Table of Contents.)

Ongoing: Entrepreneur Launchpad

Description: For Colorado homeschool families who want to incorporate entrepreneurship and business skills into their curriculum.

Students will discover what it takes to start, build, market, launch, and grow a small business through our Build a Biz Start-Up Lab and optional real-world entrepreneur experiences. Whether your child dreams of creating handmade products, offering services, launching an online business, or starting a YouTube channel, they’ll gain practical, real-world business experience while building confidence, creativity, and initiative.

Our Entrepreneurship experience follows a simple progression:

  • Learn the skills through our self-paced Build a Biz Start-Up Lab, covering business ideas and market research, business planning, branding, pricing, marketing, budgeting, selling, and goal setting

  • Launch your business by putting those skills into action through an age-appropriate real-world business experience — whether that’s participating in a youth entrepreneur market, offering a service, taking orders, selling to friends and family, or another opportunity

  • Grow through experience by learning from real customers, reflecting on what worked, improving the business, and continuing to build through future selling and market opportunities.

Learn the skills. Launch your business. Grow through real-world experience.
