Discover and ignite your student’s curiosity in aviation!
Through this virtual track, students will be able to: take a first flight, access free private pilot ground school, receive free student memberships to aviation associations, access scholarships to flight school and post-secondary, receive free admission to 400+ science and technology museums across the country, receive free aviation magazines, explore aviation careers, access glider training resources, and many more benefits!

Aviation Exploration
Description: Discover and ignite your student’s curiosity in aviation! Through this virtual track, students will be able to:
Take a first flight* (via our True North’s EAA Young Eagles flight events)
Receive free private pilot ground school, first step in training to earn pilot certificate
Earn free flight lesson upon completion of first three volumes of ground school course
Receive free student memberships to Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), Soaring Society of America (SSA) and Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) upon completion of first flight
Receive free student membership** to AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association) and become part of AOPA’s passionate aviation community, unlocking boundless possibilities with invaluable resources, propelling your aviation journey to unprecedented heights
Receive free admission to 400+ science and technology museums across the country
24/7 Access to AeroEducate, an online aviation activity resource for K-12 students that includes AeroEducate design challenges, practicing the Engineering Design Process, and ability to earn points toward AeroEducate’s Badge Program
Additional Aviation Resources: aviation magazines, scholarships to flight school and post-secondary, aviation career exploration, glider training resources, etc.

We provided an Aviation Exploration Kick-Off & Parent Orientation Zoom Meeting (with replay option) on Thursday, August 29th from 9:30-10:30am

Description: Join us as we explore different aspects of the aviation industry.
We will be visiting:
Wings Over The Rockies Air & Space Museum (Denver)
Aerodynamics Tour & Self-Guided Group Days
General Museum - May 2025
Exploration of Flight (Centennial) - September 23rd from 10am-2pm
Museum of WWII Aviation (Colorado Springs)
Airport Tours (DEN & COS)
This series is in tandem with our Aviation Educational Track.
Dates: We are adding each one as they open up so check back frequently.
Cost: Free for Members on some. Others will vary based on museum fees.
2024-2025 Program: Running August - April on various days throughout the school year.
