The Rock Food Bank (Castle Rock)
The Rock Food Bank is a practical way for our homeschool community to help give immediate assistance to those in need. Volunteer with us! Located in Castle Rock, this food bank serves over 150 families each Saturday providing them multiple days supply of food and other necessities.
The stocking of food and shopping for the families before food pick up day is as fun as seeing the families receive the boxes!

Volunteer Tasks Include:
Stocking / Re-Stocking Items (Tuesdays 12:00-4:00pm or Fridays 10:00am-1:00pm)
Shopping For Pick Up Orders (Fridays 10:00am-1:00pm)
Support Drive-Up Food Bank Distribution Day - inside / outside (1st & 3rd Saturdays 8:00-11:30am)
Spanish Interpreters on Distribution Day - outside (1st & 3rd Saturdays 8:45-11:00am)

Volunteer Age Requirement: 4-5 years old and up
Blessing bags for the homeless
Description: Please join us in the spirit of community and giving! We will gather to decorate and assemble “blessing bags” for the homeless. Each family will leave with bags to keep in car and hand out to anyone in need over the cold months.
We would love to include a note of encouragement or a favorite comforting bible verse in each bag. If your child would like to help with that, please have them write or print out a few ahead of time and just bring them to the event with your bag items.
Our goal is to make 50-75 bags during our time together!
Want to help, but can’t make the date? We will provide info on how to donate to the cause!

“Honor Their Courage” Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP)
Next year, our community will be participating in a program called “Honor Their Courage,” offered by Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP).
Leading up to Veterans Day (November 11, 2025), we will be virtually learning about the history, sacrifices, and experiences of service members and fundraising to support injured veterans.
NOTE: This is a virtual experience.
