ABOUT Übergrippen
Übergrippen, in Castle Rock, has climbing terrain for all ability levels and activities.
Homeschool Rock Climbing Club
From fall – spring, we will be climbing together on various Fridays from 1:00-3:00pm at Übergrippen at the Castle Rock location.
There are so many physical and social benefits to rock climbing, including:
Strengthening balance
Strengthening torso muscles
Improving blood circulation
Relieving stress (we all need that right now, don’t we?!)
Strengthening social / interpersonal relationships
SELF-SUPERVISED PROGRAM
Our club will be organized under their “Self-Supervised Program” which means Übergrippen does not provide staff. They have 9 autobelays and bouldering walls available. For belaying, we will need parents and kids (years 13+) to help each time. Übergrippen requires kids to be supervised by an adult.
BELAY CERTIFICATION
All belayers need to be at least 13 years old and to have passed the Übergrippen belay test prior to belaying for climbers. Belay tests can be administered at any time.
CLIMBING SHOES NOT REQUIRED
While Übergrippen recommends climbing shoes to enjoy the full experience, they are NOT required and any closed toe shoes are perfectly acceptable.
HOMESCHOOL ROCK CLIMBING CLUB - Front Range
Description: We meet up on various Fridays (fall - spring) from 1:00-3:00pm at Übergrippen’s Castle Rock location.

* NOTE: This is a True North Homeschool™ offsite location. There will not be a designated True North Homeschool™ chaperone onsite.Time: 1:00pm-3:00pm

Cost for Climbers:
Ages 5-18: $25 / climber / time
Ages 5 and under: $18 or if child is accompanied by a paying adult ($28), their day entrance is free
Adult (homeschool teachers qualify for our discounted rate): $25 / climber / time (normal price is $28)

2024-2025 Club: Running fall - spring, meeting on various Friday afternoons
WAIVER REQUIRED: You can complete their waiver ahead of time to speed up the process upon arrival.
